What is it?

A simple, cloud based software system that allows you to store important information relevant to the responsibilities you have to:
- manage the maintenance and risks associated with the buildings you own and meet the relevant regulatory building standards
- meet church duty of care obligations
The system also provides you the flexibility to build your own tailored ‘housekeeping’ schedule to ensure your buildings and their surrounds are fit for purpose and evidence good stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to the church. This can be tailored to your needs and be as simple or complex as you require.
You are able to input information, save the information and if required, generate a soft copy ‘link’ or hard copy for your records to distribute to interested stakeholders. The Annual Certification submission is also generated from the system.
You can also set notification reminders and keep track of outstanding actions to create an effective administration task management capability.
The system is designed to provide you with evidence (an audit trail) of the actions and resources that the church has dedicated to this vital area of operations. Accountability is created by the allocation of duties and regular monitoring of tasks for the leaders responsible.
The information can be very useful in conversations with your church insurer to demonstrate your pro-active approach to risk management and compliance.
How does it work?
Be Safe is an information management system that captures your inputted data and stores it securely for viewing and/or production in hard copy. You can also generate electronic e-mail links to send requests and information to others. Using these links can also result in people sending you back completed information for immediate storage in the system.
The information is securely stored with multiple backups across multiple servers in Australia and is hosted by Amazon Web Services, a global leader in cloud based technologies.
You simply log-in (with a choice of what device you use) and get started. We would recommend you complete the Getting Started module to help build your initial navigation skills and confidence in the system.
